Area of application

This data protection statement informs the user of this website about the extent and the purpose of personal data collection on this website and its usage by the provider responsible, Quadt Kunststoffapparatebau GmbH, Industriestrasse 4–6, 53842 Troisdorf, Germany, info(at)quadt-kunststoff.de, +49 (0)2241 951 250.

You will find the legal basis for data protection in the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Teleservices Act (TMG).

Access data/server log files
The provider (or their hosting service provider) collects data about each visit to the website (using what are known as server log files). This access data includes:

name of the website accessed, file, date and time of the visit, transferred data volume, message regarding successful access, browser type including version, the user's operating system, URL referrer (the page visited previously), IP address and the requesting provider.

The provider uses the log files for statistical analyses for operational purposes, and for site security and optimisation only. However, the provider reserves the right to check the log at a later stage if there is justifiable suspicion of illegal usage based on concrete evidence.

Contact
If the user contacts the provider (using a contact form or email, for example), their personal details are saved to handle the request or deal with any follow-up questions.

Newsletter
We use our newsletter to inform you about our activities, products and services.

If you would like to receive our newsletter, we need a valid email address from you and information which allows us to check that you are the owner of the indicated email address or that the email account holder has agreed to receive the newsletter. No other data will be collected. These data are used to send the newsletter only and are not forwarded to third parties.

When you register to receive the newsletter, we store your IP address and the date that you registered. This information is saved solely for the purposes of demonstrating that a third party has misused the email address and registered to receive the newsletter without the holder's knowledge.

You can withdraw your consent for your data and email address being stored and used to send the newsletter at any time. You can withdraw consent using a link in the newsletters themselves, in your profile or by notifying us using one of the contact options indicated above.

Incorporating services and third party contents
This online presence may incorporate third party contents such as YouTube videos, Google Maps pages, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites. This always requires the providers of such contents (hereinafter referred to as the "third-party providers") to identify users' IP addresses as they are unable to transmit the contents to the user's browser without their IP address. The IP address is thus required to display such contents. We try to limit use of such contents to cases where their providers use IP addresses to supply the contents only. However, we do not have any control over whether third-party providers save IP addresses for statistical purposes, for example. We inform users if we become aware of such use.

Cookies
Cookies consist of small data files which allow specific information related to the users' access devices to be saved to the device (PC, smartphone or similar). Firstly, they are used to improve user friendliness of websites and thus help users (e.g. storage of log-in credentials). They are also used to collect statistical data on the use of the website and analyse such data to improve the website. Users can limit the use of cookies. Most browsers feature an option to limit or fully prevent the saving of cookies. However, users should note that website use and particularly convenience of use are limited without cookies.

You can manage numerous online advertising cookies at the American site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.

Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files that are stored on the user's computer and that permit analysis of use of the website. The information generated by the cookies on the users' usage of this website is generally transmitted to a server belonging to Google in the US, where the information is then stored.

However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, Google shortens the user's IP address within a member state of the European Union or within another state which has signed the European Economic Area Agreement prior to transmission. A full IP address is only transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there in exceptional cases. IP anonymisation is activated on this website. Google will use this information to evaluate the users' usage of the website, compiling reports on website activity for the operator of this website and providing other services relating to website activity and Internet usage to the website operator.

Under no circumstances will the IP address provided by your browser for Google Analytics be linked to other Google data. Users can prevent the cookies from being stored by making the corresponding setting in their browser software; however, the website points out that users may not be able to enjoy the full scope of functions on this website in such cases. Users can also prevent data generated by the cookie and related to their usage of this website, including their IP address, from being compiled and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in at: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

You will find more information on Google's use of data for advertising purposes, setting options and the right to object on Google web pages: https://policies.google.com/privacy/partners?hl=en ("How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps"), http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads ("How Google uses cookies in advertising"), http://www.google.com/settings/ads ("Control the information Google uses to show you ads") and http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/ ("Determine which ads Google shows you").

Use of Facebook social plugins
This website uses social plugins (“plugins”) provided by the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”). The plugins feature a Facebook logo (white “f” on blue background, the word "Like" or a “thumbs up” icon) or contain the suffix “Facebook Social Plugin”. You can see the list of Facebook social plugins and what they look like here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

When a user opens a web page provided by this website which contains such a plugin, their browser establishes a direct connection with Facebook servers. The content of plugins is transferred directly to their browser and incorporated into this website. The provider has therefore no influence on the extent of data which Facebook collects with help of this plugin. The provider informs the user what they are aware of in this respect:

When the plugin is integrated, Facebook receives the information that a user has accessed the page concerned provided by this website. If the user is logged into Facebook, Facebook can associate the visit with their Facebook account. If users interact with the plugins, by pressing the Like Button or leaving a comment, for example, related information from their browser will be transmitted directly to Facebook and stored there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, it is still possible that Facebook will identify and store their IP address. Facebook declares that only an anonymous IP address is stored in Germany.

Users can refer to the data protection information on Facebook regarding the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and usage of data by Facebook. Users can also consult their rights in this respect and view their privacy setting options: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to collect data about them through this website or correlate their data with their Facebook account, then the user must log off from Facebook before visiting this site. Further settings and objections to the usage of data for advertising purposes are possible in Facebook profile settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.

Google+ +1 button
This website uses the Google Plus social network "+1" button, which is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States ("Google"). The button features the "+1" emblem on a white or coloured background.

When a user opens a web page provided by this website which contains such a button, their browser establishes a direct connection with Google servers. Google transmits the contents of the "+1" button to their browser, which is integrated into the web page. The provider has therefore no influence on the amount of data the Google button collects. Google states that no personal data is collected if the user does not click on the button. Such data, including the IP address, are only collected and processed if members are logged on.

Please refer to Google data protection information regarding the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and usage of data by Google. You can also consult your rights in this respect and view your privacy setting options in Google's +1 button policy: developers.google.com/+/web/buttons-policy and privacy FAQs: www.google.com/policies/faq/.

Twitter
This website uses web page elements (https://dev.twitter.com/web/overview), such as Twitter service buttons or embedded contents, provided by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Web page elements can be used to share an article or page from this website on Twitter or follow the provider on Twitter. Individual tweets in particular can be embedded into the website as additional content.

When a user opens a web page provided by this website which contains such a web page element, their browser establishes a direct connection with Twitter servers. Twitter transmits the content of the web page element directly to the user's browser. The provider has therefore no influence on the extent of data which Twitter collects using this web page element. The provider informs users what data collection they are aware of. The provider states that Twitter only collects the URL of the website concerned and the user's IP address, but does so solely for the purpose of displaying web page elements.
You can find more information in Twitter's privacy policy at http://twitter.com/privacy.

Revocation, revision, corrections and updates
The user is entitled to request information about the personal data which has been collected about them free of charge. The user also has the right to have inaccurate data corrected and their personal data blocked and deleted unless there is a legal obligation to retain such data.
